36th Annual Urbana Sweetcorn Festival, August 26-27, 2011

It's about that time - Urbana's 36th Annual Sweetcorn Festival is just around the corner in downtown Urbana.

The Festival gets underway in downtown Urbana on Friday, August 26 at 5 PM and goes until 11 PM that evening - look for local musical guests, fun for kids, food, drink, and shopping... and fresh, locally-grown sweetcorn, of course. The fun continues downtown on Saturday, August 27 from 11 AM until 11 PM, with muscial headliner Survivor ("Eye of the Tiger") rocking the crowd around 9 PM on the main stage near the intersection of Main and Vine Streets.

The Festival will also be even more "green" in 2011, with recycling available for cups and corn cob composting, and "Corn Buck" incentives for those riding their bikes to the Festival.
