The City of Urbana is transitioning to a new eProcurement system called OpenGov for publishing solicitations, and receiving vendor responses. Register your account early to begin receiving email notifications of bid/RFP postings.  Registration is 100% free for vendors!

Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Request For Proposal: Hauling and Disposal of Nuisance Abatements

The City of Urbana, Environmental Management Division, is looking for a company to do case by case hauling and disposal of nuisance abatements for properties that have failed to comply with City ordinances.


The City of Urbana will receive proposals at the Public Works Center, 706 S. Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bids will be accepted up to and no later than 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 27th, 2012.

Request for Bids: Philo Road South Reconstruction

Sealed BIDS for the construction of the Philo Road South Reconstruction Project (City Section 11-00504-00-PV) including: Hot-Mix Asphalt mainline and shoulder surfacing; earthwork; soil-cement base coarse; roadside ditch grading; concrete curb and gutter; pipe culverts; storm sewers; PCC pavement; and other incidental work will be received by the City of Urbana at the office of the Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until 1:55 p.m. prevailing time on Monday July 16, 2012 and publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. at said office.

RFP #1112-05 Street and Public Property Tree Inventory and Tree Inventory Data Management Software

Proposals will be received at the office of the Director of Public Works, City of Urbana, Illinois for STREET AND PUBLIC PROPERTY TREE INVENTORY AND TREE INVENTORY DATA MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE until 1:30 p.m. prevailing time on Friday, July 13, 2012.


Any firm desiring to be considered to provide such proposed services shall submit proposals in accordance with the instructions and format of the RFP documents.


The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities or technicalities.
