Prevailing Wage Act

CLOSED - Request for Proposals: Community Safety Review (Solicitation# 2223-05)

The City of Urbana is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide a detailed review of the methods for providing services related to community safety. The intent is to reconsider the traditional roles of public safety departments (specifically, police and fire) as well as other departments, as appropriate. The goal is to promote community safety and well-being in ways that minimize harm related to race, poverty, and other social factors.

 

The selected firm will have the qualifications and staff resources necessary to perform an analysis of existing conditions, research alternative models, prepare a cost analysis, and develop a transition plan. The successful firm will provide services for the City of Urbana as outlined under Scope of Services in the attached RFP document. The City is looking for a team that has expertise in both traditional public safety reviews as well as an innovative approaches to assist the City in developing locally-tailored recommendations gives operational needs, financial constraints, and multi-jurisdictional collaboration.

 

Request for Proposal: Bond Counsel (#2223-04)

The City of Urbana, Illinois is seeking proposals form qualified firms to serve as bond counsel for the City for a period of five (5) years. The City plans to issue debt late in calendar year 2022, and again in calendar year 2023 for a total of approximately $17.5 million. Each issuance will be $10 million or less and will be a private placement with a local bank. Each will be a general obligation, secured by the full faith and credit of the City of Urbana and will be bank qualified. The City may also require additional services of the selected bond counsel over the next five years.

CLOSED Request for Proposal: Automotive Repair Services 2009 Ford Escape (Solicitation # 2223-03)

The City of Urbana is seeking proposals for automotive repair body shops to repair damages to the following vehicle or equipment: Year/Make/Model: 2009 Ford Escape Known/Observed Damages: Front end body repair and damaged radiator.

Proposals will be accepted from repairers until August 12, at 10:00 a.m. CDT.

Proposals must be submitted electronically (pdf format) to the Urbana Public Works Department, Fleet Supervisor via e-mail to tgcorry@urbanaillinois.us with the following format:

subject heading of "Company Name – Automotive Repair Services Proposal for City of Urbana – 2009 Ford Escape (MU02-09).”

The City of Urbana reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received.

The award of contract will be made by the Public Works Director, with recommendations from the Fleet Supervisor, and the decision will be final.

CLOSED Invitation to Bid: Philo Road and Boneyard Crossing Landscape Maintenance (Solicitation #2223-02)

Sealed BIDS will be received until 2:00 P.M. prevailing time on August 1 2022 and opened and read aloud publicly at 2:05 P.M. prevailing time on August 1, 2022 at the office of the City Arborist, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois, 61802 for the PHILO ROAD AND BONEYARD CROSSING LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS. No further questions will be addressed following 4:00 P.M. July 22, 2022.

These contracts will include watering, weeding, fertilizing, mulching, graffiti removal and maintaining landscape areas within the public right-of-ways along Philo Road from Colorado Avenue to Florida Avenue and Boneyard Crossing from Griggs Street to Broadway Avenue.
