Brandon Bowersox
Brandon is a first term member of the Urbana City Council. He was elected on April 5, 2005 by 81% of Ward 4 voters.
Brandon was born in Urbana, attended University High School and earned a degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois. He is co-owner of a technology business located downtown.
By researching and attending local and national conferences, Brandon has a working knowledge of innovative city planning. Locally, he has participated as a member of the public in our county's Long Range Transportation Plan, Urbana's Comprehensive Plan update, Urbana's Downtown Strategic Plan, the MTD Alternatives Analysis, the High Cross Road Corridor Study, and more.
Brandon is active in our community. As cofounder of a non-profit computer learning center in downtown Urbana, he helped create an after-school Tech Club for grade school children. He has helped organize a Local Business Tour of locally owned, environmentally and socially responsible businesses throughout C-U. He has served as Secretary of the Champaign County Democratic Party.
