The City of Urbana is undertaking a zoning ordinance amendment and a rezoning to change all current Industrial district designation in to two new districts: a Light Industrial/Office (IN-1) district and a Heavy Industrial district (IN-2).
The Urbana Plan Commission will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed zoning ordinance text amendment and zoning map amendments on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at 7:30 PM in the Urbana City Council Chambers (400 S. Vine St).
21ST CENTURY LEARNING GRANTS IN ACTION AT URBANA SCHOOLS
Through 21st Century funding received in October of 2011, Urbana School District was able to create two community learning centers at Leal Elementary and Urbana High School.
In a recent release of the Score Report Summary for the sixth High School Contest 2011-2012, the Illinois Mathematics League ranked the UHS Math team as the top school in Champaign County with a score of 128.
