As part of the Urbana Champaign Sanitary District’s Annual Sanitary Interceptor Maintenance Project, the District’s Contractor, KIM Construction, will be lining the manholes that run north along Vine Street starting on Wednesday, February 1st at 7:30 A.M. and ending on Wednesday February 1st at 7:30 P.M.
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has announced that the City of Urbana, the City of Champaign, and C-U Safe Routes To School Project will receive Safe Routes to School (SRTS) grant funding. These projects will enable and encourage elementary and middle school students to walk & bike to school, in some cases even if they live far from school.

The Urbana Champaign Sanitary District’s contractor Insituform will doing sewer lining as part of the District’s annual sanitary interceptor maintenance. On Wednesday, January 25, 2012 Insituform will performing lining along Vine Street from Nevada Street to Oregon Street starting at 7:30 A.M. and ending at 5:00 P.M.
All City administrative offices and the Landscape Recycling center are closed to observe the holiday.
