“The community is invited to celebrate the unveiling of new artworks and amenities in the Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County Habitat Community Garden as part of the Growing Community Public Arts Initiative. The garden now features artwork from local artists Saba Manetti-Tesfaye and Beth Darling along with Peace Poles made possible by Urbana Arts and Culture Program, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts 's Peace Project, Champaign Unit 4 Schools ’s Goal Getters, USD #116’s Self Made Kingz, former Arts Commissioner Stacey Robinson, and Urbana Poet Laureate Ashanti Files. Join us for a celebration of this latest City-sponsored and AARP-funded public arts initiative that celebrates our Urbana-area community gardens and the work of local artists! Funded by AARP Community Challenge. Installations of artwork made possible with Housing Authority of Champaign YouthBuild.
