The City of Urbana, as a member of the Urbana HOME Consortium, proposes to amend its HOME Program budget for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011-2012 Annual Action Plan (AAP) to re-allocate HOME funding toward a Downpayment Assistance Program.
Weather permitting; Mike Williams Plumbing & Heating will close Main Street between McCullough Street and Orchard Street to through traffic from 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 for a sanitary sewer repair at 506 West Main Street.
Weather permitting; G. A. Rich & Sons, Inc. will close Broadway Avenue between Thompson Street and Country Club Road to be closed to through traffic from 7:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 for installation of a water service line at 1505 North Broadway Avenue.
The City of Urbana has contracted with Cross Construction to perform milling and resurfacing work on Washington Street. Weather permitting, work will begin on Washington Street between Philo Road and just east of Dodson Drive on Monday, March 4, 2013.
Copies of the Draft FY 2013-2014 Annual Action Plan will be available for review to the general public between Monday, February 25, 2013 and Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the following locations:

As of 1:00pm, Friday, February 22, 2013, the Urbana Public Works Director has declared the sidewalk snow and ice removal requirement in effect for the Downtown, University and South Philo Road snow removal districts.
The existing Race Street Bridge over the Boneyard Creek will be demolished and replaced with a new bridge as part of the Boneyard Creek Improvements Project. The City’s Contractor, O’Neil Bros., is projecting that the Race Street bridge demolition will start on March 11, 2013 weather permitting.
