U-Cycle collections starting on Thurday, November 24, will be delayed one day due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Thursday collection will be on Friday, November 25, and Friday collection will be on Saturday, November 26.

Public meeting held at the Urbana Civic Center to present the final design for the Boneyard Creek Improvements Project for the area between Griggs Street and Broadway Avenue.
The first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) will take place at 1:00 PM Central Standard Time this Wednesday, November 9, 2011. The purpose of the test is to assess the reliability and effectiveness of the EAS as a public alert mechanism.

Norfolk-Southern Railroad will be rehabilitating the Race Street Railroad Crossing. Race Street between Griggs Street and University Avenue will be closed to all through traffic from 7:00 A.M. on Thursday October 20, 2011 to 5:00 P.M.
October 17, 2011 - 7:00am - October 18, 2011 - 4:00pm
Duce Construction will have Coler Avenue between Bradley Avenue and Sunset Drive closed to through traffic beginning Monday October 17, 2011 at 7:00 am through Tuesday October 18, 2011 at 4:00 pm to install manholes and storm sewers.
All residents along Coler Avenue between Bradley Avenue and Sunset Drive will be able to access their homes.
Advanced Wayne Cain & Sons Roofing will be closing the south east bound lane of Main Street between Vine Street and Broadway Avenue on Monday October 10, 2011 from 6:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M weather permitting. Through traffic on Main Street will be maintained at all times.
