The University of Illinois’s contractor Stark Excavating will be installing a new chilled water distribution pipe and crosswalk improvements on Springfield Avenue between Wright Street and Matthews Avenue. In order to complete this work Springfield Avenue will have to be closed to traffic.

Starting 7 am Thursday September 6th Philo Road will be closed between Marc Trail and the south corporate limits (approximately 1,250 feet north of Curtis Rd.), weather permitting, until November 2nd to allow for the reconstruction of Philo Road.
The City of Urbana will hold a Public Open House Friday August 17th, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Philo Road Church of Christ, 2601 South Philo Road to provide information concerning the upcoming Philo Road South Reconstruction Project.
The City of Urbana Arbor Division has closed Washington Street from Cedar Street to Birch Street until further notice for an emergency tree removal. Both lanes will be closed to all thru traffic. No detour is planned.
