The City of Urbana Arbor Division will be performing street tree pruning starting this spring/summer. The pruning is to provide adequate clearance over streets, sidewalks, driveways and homes, as well as, maintain the health and vigor of city trees. This pruning will follow city tree ordinance standards and be completed by Arbor Division Certified Arborists.
The City will be installing new storm sewer on Illinois Street between Vine Street and Walnut Street.
One lane of west bound traffic on Illinois Street will be closed from Thursday March 25, 2010 to Thursday April 1, 2010 weather permitting. Illinois Street will remain open to thru traffic during the storm sewer installation.
Non-profit organizations seeking funds to operate social service programs benefiting Urbana residents may apply to the Consolidated Social Service Funding Pool, jointly supported by the City of Urbana and Cunningham Township for Program Year 2010-2011 (July 1, 2010 and ending June 30, 2011). Non-profit organizations may use funds for both services to clients and program operating costs.
Notice of Availability for Public Review and Comment
City of Urbana & Urbana HOME Consortium Draft Consolidated Plan FY 2010-2014 and Draft Annual Action Plan FY 2010-2011 will be available for review to the general public between Monday, February 22, 2010 and Tuesday, March 23, 2010.
A public hearing will be held on March 23, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
