2011 MFT Resurfacing : Mathews Avenue Closure

Beginning 7 am Monday June 27th, the south leg of Mathews Avenue at the intersection with Springfield Avenue will be closed to through traffic to allow for the patching of the existing concrete pavement.  Weather permitting, this road closure is expected to be in effect for 5 days and Mathews Avenue is expected to be re-opened by 5 pm Friday, July 1st.

Intersection Closure - Water Street at Broadway Avenue

Weather permitting Roberts Communication will cause the east leg of the Broadway Avenue and Water Street intersection to be closed to traffic, from 7:00 a.m., Monday June 27, 2011 to 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 to install cable.

Oregon Street Closure from Webber Street to Lynn Street

Weather permitting, D & S Sewer Services, Inc. will cause Oregon Street, from Webber Street to Lynn Street to be closed to through traffic from 7:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011 to 5:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 30, 2011 to repair a sewer line at 803 East Oregon Street. Local traffic will be allowed. There will be no detour. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

U-CYCLE Collection - Independence Day

Due to the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 4, U-CYCLE collections will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.

Monday's collections will be on Tuesday, Tuesday collections on Wednesday, etc.

Please set out recycling curbside by 7 AM for collection.

City Council Lincoln Memorial Park Discussion Public Notice

Main Street, Urbana on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. to discuss the possible development of a Lincoln memorial park with marker plaque and commemorative tree planting.

Updated Division and Kerr Avenue Street Closures

The City will be installing a new sanitary sewer on Division Avenue beginning at the intersection with Kerr Avenue and proceeding approximately 250-feet south on Division Avenue. Division and Kerr Avenues will be closed to all through traffic beginning at 7:00 A.M.
