2010 Resurfacing - Main Street and Goodwin Avenue

The City of Urbana has contracted with Open Road Paving to perform milling and resurfacing work on various streets throughout the City. This work will begin, weather permitting, on Thursday October 14, 2010. The street locations included in this project are:

Main Street – Vine Street to Grove Street

Goodwin Avenue – Stoughton Street to Clark Street

The project consists of milling and resurfacing pavement; curb and gutter removal and replacement; sidewalk ramp removal and replacement; pavement marking; and other miscellaneous work. The work is expected to be complete at the end of November.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on Main Street during construction. Goodwin Avenue will be closed to traffic, however, when that occurs, an additional press release will be issued. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
