2010 Holiday Parking

Urbana Mayor Laurel Prussing is pleased to announce free parking in our business districts from Thanksgiving Day through New Year's Day.

Downtown Business District

• Free parking at specific meters covered with a holiday bag 
• 2 hour limit per vehicle per day - Enforced 
• On-street meters and in these select lots:
  Lot 1 (Race & Water Sts)
  Lot 2 (Water St)
  Lot 11 (Main St)
  Lot 16 (Green St – Twp Bldg)
  Lot 17 (Library) Lot 22 (Vine St)
• NOT included in free parking:
  Short-term meters
  Any meter not displaying a holiday bag
  Parking garage
  US Post Office
  Lot 10B

Campus Business District

• Select meters on these streets:
  700 S Goodwin
  900 W Nevada
  1100 W Oregon 
• Free parking at specific meters covered with a holiday bag
• 2 hour limit per vehicle per day – Enforced 
• NOT included in free parking:
  Short-term meters 
  Any meter not displaying a holiday bag

Campus District and Hospital District

Meters enforced Monday – Saturday except on Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, December 24th, December 25th, December 31st and January 1st.

Restricted, prohibited, zoning and disabled parking regulations enforced at all times.
