Busey Avenue and Park Street Closures

On Tuesday, March 1, 2011 Busey Avenue between Church Street and Park Street will close permanently to make way for the new Carle Foundation Hospital Patient Bed Tower and Heart and Vascular Institute.

From March 7 through March 18, 2011, Park Street between Coler Street and Busey Avenue will be closed for underground construction at the hospital. In the weeks to follow, Park Street will re-open intermittently, but will be restricted to one lane and one-way traffic heading westbound.

The hospital’s Emergency Room and emergency parking can be accessed from University Avenue at Coler Street. Coler Street remains permanently closed north of the Emergency Room.
