Urbana High School Alums Receive Bronze Tablet Status

Robert Walker, and Sarah Hoyle-Katz, graduates of Urbana High School, will have their names inscribed on the 2011 Bronze Tablet that hangs in the Main Library at the University of Illinois. This recognition is awarded to the top 3 percent of students in each college of the University. Students are notified of their eligibility by the College of LAS Student Academic Affairs Office.

Mr. Walker will graduate in May 2011 with a BS in Mathematics and Philosophy; he expects to graduate summa cum laude. Among other accomplishments at the University, he served as a Mathematics Tutor for the Office of Minority Student Affairs and received their Award for Academic Excellence in April 2008, 2009 and 2010. Urbana School District is very proud of Mr. Walker’s 4.0 GPA at the University and wishes him luck in future endeavors.

Ms. Hoyle-Katz will graduate in May 2011 with a BS in Earth Systems, Environment, and Society. Urbana School District is very proud of Ms. Hoyle-Katz’s accomplishment and wishes her luck in future endeavors
