2011 Motor Fuel Tax Resurfacing - Lincoln Ave, Park St & Springfield Ave

The City of Urbana has contracted with Cross Construction to perform milling and resurfacing work on various streets throughout the City. Weather permitting, work will begin on Springfield Avenue between Goodwin Avenue and Gregory Street on Tuesday May 31, 2011. The street locations included in this project are:

Lincoln Avenue - Wascher Drive to Fairview Avenue

Park Street - McCullough Street to Broadway Avenue

Springfield Avenue - Grainger Library to Goodwin Avenue

Springfield Avenue - Goodwin Avenue to Gregory Street

 The project consists of milling and resurfacing pavement; concrete pavement patching; curb and gutter removal and replacement; sidewalk ramp removal and replacement; pavement marking; and other miscellaneous work.

The entire project is expected to continue through the end of August.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on most streets during construction. If a street will be closed to traffic, an additional press release will be issued.
