City Studies Modern Roundabouts for Intersection Improvements

Following directives expressed in the City Council's goals to "evaluat[e] all city projects for sustainability and incorporat[e] energy-savings systems," the City hired Ourston Roundabout Engineering to study the feasibility of installing a modern roundabout at two intersections scheduled for improvements in the near future. 

Attached are reports prepared by Ourston for the Philo Road/Florida Avenue intersection and the Race Street/Windsor Road intersection.  These reports will be discussed at the Committee of the Whole meeting to be held on Monday, August 22nd at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 400 South Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois  61801
