U-Cycle Turns 25 !

U-Cycle is celebrating 25 years!  Urbana's recycling program was one of the first curbside programs established in the State of Illinois in 1986. 

Since then, Urbana's U-Cycle program has provided all single-family homes with curbside recycling and, beginning in 1999, added multi-family housing to the program.

The U-Cycle program has evolved over time and continues to be a leader in community recycling.  To date, U-Cycle has collected more than 37,000 tons of recyclables for processing into new products!
