Lane Closures on Various City Streets

The City of Urbana has contracted with Applied Pavement Technology, Inc. to perform pavement testing on the following City streets:

• Race Street – Michigan Avenue to Washington Street
• Washington Street – Race Street to Walnut Street
• Broadway Avenue – Washington Avenue to Illinois Street
• Illinois Street – Orchard Street to Race Street
• Lincoln Avenue – S. of Killarney Street to Wilbur Road

This work is scheduled to begin, weather permitting, Monday, November 21st and should be completed by Friday, December 2nd. Two way traffic will be maintained at all times, however periodic lane closures are expected to occur during day light hours. No parking will be allowed along the edge of the street at select locations. The City will post signs to notify the public of the date and times in which the no parking will be in effect.
