Urbana Firefighters to Host Fire Prevention Week, October 8-12
Urbana Firefighters will be at Lincoln Square Village during the week of October 8-12 to educate the public on how to protect themselves from fire.
During the day, Urbana school groups will
learn about fire safety and take part in several educational fire safety activities:
- Don't play with matches or lighters
- Stop, drop, and roll
- Crawl low in smoke
- Watch the famous UFD puppet show
- Tour the New Fire Safety House
- Use the inflatable slide
Family Night - October 10, 5:30-7 p.m.
Head out to Family Night for free pizza and soft drinks for the first 500 participants. While there, meet Sparky the Fire Dog and Safety Pup and participate in many fire safety activities. Children ages 5-9 can color Sparky for a chance to win a new bicycle.
