2010 Fall Leaf Collection Dates Announced

Parking Meter Changes Effective Immediately

A problem relating to meter jamming and time theft was recently identified and resolved.  As a result, meters will no longer accept dollar coins. 
Effective immediately meters will accept nickels, dimes, quarters and CashKey only. 
We apologize for any inconvenience.

UCSD Sewer Lining Project Lane Closures

As part of the Urbana Champaign Sanitary District’s Annual Sanitary Interceptor Maintenance Project, the District’s Contractor, KIM Construction, will be lining the manholes that run north along Vine Street starting on Monday, February 6th at 7:30 A.M. and ending on Friday February 10th at 7:30 P.M.

UCSD Sewer Lining Project Street Closures

The Urbana Champaign Sanitary District’s contractor Insituform will doing sewer lining as part of the District’s annual sanitary interceptor maintenance. On Wednesday, January 25, 2012 Insituform will performing lining along Vine Street from Nevada Street to Oregon Street starting at 7:30 A.M. and ending at 5:00 P.M.

Sidewalk Snow Removal Requirement in Effect

As of 2:00pm, Friday, January 13, 2012, the Urbana Public Works Director has declared the sidewalk snow and ice removal requirement in effect for the Downtown, University and South Philo Road snow removal districts.

Due to the winter storm, snow has accumulated to two inches or more on sidewalks.
