City of Urbana proposed Schedule of Fees for fiscal year 2023/2024
The Urbana Police Department is seeking bids for ammunition. The deadline for bid submission is August 26, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. See attached documents for further details.
The City of Urbana is seeking proposals for automotive repair body shops to repair damages to the following vehicle or equipment: Year/Make/Model: 2009 Ford Escape Known/Observed Damages: Front end body repair and damaged radiator.
Proposals will be accepted from repairers until August 12, at 10:00 a.m. CDT.
Proposals must be submitted electronically (pdf format) to the Urbana Public Works Department, Fleet Supervisor via e-mail to tgcorry@urbanaillinois.us with the following format:
subject heading of "Company Name – Automotive Repair Services Proposal for City of Urbana – 2009 Ford Escape (MU02-09).”
The City of Urbana reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received.
The award of contract will be made by the Public Works Director, with recommendations from the Fleet Supervisor, and the decision will be final.

NOTICE OF LOTTERY for Ballot Placement VIRTUAL DRAWING – via Zoom (April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election)A lottery is initiated to determine ballot placement for candidates seeking election in the April 2021 Consolidated Election.Therefore, notice is hereby given that on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the City of the Urbana city building, 400 South Vine Street, Urbana, IL 61801. A lottery will be held to determine ballot placement for the April 6, 2021 Consolidate Election.
There was major tree devastation in a limited section of SE Urbana due to a tornado on Sunday, May 26, 2019. The City of Urbana is offering short-term, emergency tree and brush pick-up from private property to assist residents in recovery efforts.
WHERE: Area bounded by Race, Windsor, Philo, and Silver/Mumford.
WHAT: TREE LIMBS AND BRUSH DEBRIS ONLY. NO CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS OR LOGS OVER 10 INCHES IN DIAMETER. Per regulations of the Landscape Recycling Center, limbs must be 8 feet or shorter in length and 10 inches or less in diameter (plus brush and branches).
HOW: Place materials in the parkway near curb where it can be picked up by heavy equipment, away from mailboxes, vehicles, signs, light poles, fire hydrants etc. Do not place materials in the street.
WHEN: Tree limbs and brush must be placed in the parkway no later than June 4, 2019 to be included in this pick-up.

The successful candidate will perform highly skilled work in the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel powered equipment and vehicles. Work requires a considerable amount of self-initiative and independent judgment in maintenance and repair activities. Works closely with other departments coordinating maintenance and repair activities, maintaining current and accurate records of work performed. EAST MICHIGAN AVENUE STREET CLOSURE
Weather permitting, East Michigan Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Kinch Street and Greenridge Drive from 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, to 5 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024. City of Urbana Public Works Department will be doing street repairs. Access will be maintained to all properties along East Michigan Avenue during the project, though no through traffic will be allowed. Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this project. All U-Cycle routes (curbside & multifamily) will be delayed one day this week due to the extreme cold:
*Monday's U-Cycle routes will be collected on Tuesday, January 16
*Tuesday's U-Cycle routes will be collected on Wednesday, January 17
*Wednesday's U-Cycle routes will be collected on Thursday, January 18
*Thursday's U-Cycle routes will be collected on Friday, January 19
*Friday's U-Cycle routes will be collected on Saturday, January 20
Please continue to set recycling curbside by 7:00 a.m. to ensure collection. Stay warm and safe!
