The City of Urbana has contracted with Cross Construction to perform milling and resurfacing work on various streets throughout the City. Weather permitting, work will begin on Springfield Avenue between Goodwin Avenue and Gregory Street on Tuesday May 31, 2011.
During the week of June 6, 2001, the City of Urbana will implement no parking on Philo Road, in preparation for the installation of bike lanes. Parking will no longer be allowed on:
Philo Road - West side from Pennsylvania Avenue to Washington Street
The removal of this parking was discussed at a Public Open House on December 3, 2009 and at a
U-CYCLE collection will be delayed one day the week of May 30 due to the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 30. Monday collection will be Tuesday, Tuesday collection on Wednesday, etc.
As always, please set out recycling curbside by 7 AM or the night before.
The Urbana City Council will hold a caucus at 5:30 p.m. on May 16, 2011 in the City Council Chambers in the Urbana City Building at 400 South Vine Street.
The purpose of this caucus is to update City goals.
