U-CYCLE collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week due to the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 25. Residents that normally have U-CYCLE collection on Thursday will be collected Friday, and residents with a Friday collection will be collected on Saturday.

A contractor for Urbana-Champaign Sanitary District will be rehabilitating an interceptor sewer on north Coler Avenue between Fairview Avenue and Sunset Drive.
Traffic may be reduced to one lane and a speed reduction will occur over the bypass pumping pipe ramps beginning at 7:00 A.M. and ending at 5:00 P.M.
Cottage Grove Avenue from Eastern Drive to Washington Street will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, on Monday, November 22, 2010 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 12:00 p.m.

The intersection of High Street and Orchard Street will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in order to complete sewer construction in that area.
There will be no detour. Access to individual properties will be available.

New traffic signals at the intersection of Windsor Road and Myra Ridge Drive will be put into full operation on Thursday, November 11th, weather permitting.
Prior to the signals being placed into full operation they will be set to red flash for all directions of the intersection on Wednesday, November 10th in order to give motorists one day to adjust to the operating signal.

During the week of November 8th, the City of Urbana will implement no parking on Washington Street and on Race Street, in preparation for the installation of bike lanes. Parking will no longer will allowed on:
Race Street - East side from Montclair Road to Pennsylvania Avenue
Race Street - West side from Montclair Road to Florida Avenue
Open Road Paving will be resurfacing Goodwin Avenue between Stoughton Street and Clark Street on Tuesday November 9th. Due to the narrow width of the street, Goodwin Avenue will be close to through traffic while the work is performed. This road closure is expected to be in effect only on Tuesday and Goodwin Avenue is expected to be re-opened at the end of the day Tuesday.

The City will be repairing a sanitary sewer on south Busey Avenue between California Avenue and Illinois Street. South Busey Avenue will be closed to all through traffic beginning at 7 A.M. on Tuesday October 26, 2010 to Friday October 29, 2010 at 5:00 P.M.
