Bite-Free Program
In 2000, Officer Angelo implemented a “Bite-Free” program designed for primary aged children. The program is designed to prevent animal bites by teaching children how to properly approach and handle dogs and cats as well as what do to when confronted by stray animals. 108 children in Urbana participated in the “Bite-Free” program during the 2003-04 school year.
Teachers may request the program through the Risk Watch Program.
