206 Cedar is a two story Italianate house that was built in 1872. The overall form of the house has an L-shaped plan, where the short leg is a side hallway. The house has white horizontal wood clapboard siding and the corners are accented with vertical trim. The house has a steeply pitched gable roof with a simple classical cornice. 206 Cedar has a full-width wrap-around porch with classical detailing. The porch has a classical pediment in the center and is supported by classical columns of the Doric order. The porch has a Doric entablature with dentils and brackets. The windows on the second story are typical rectangular Italianate windows with two-over-two sashes and paired shutters. The windows on the first story have intricate ironwork covering the windows. The main entry door has two side lights flanking the door. | |
