Cash Key - Purchase Parking Time

Buy amounts of parking time from $10 minimum to a maximum of $100 per parking entity.  (You can also purchase time for University of Illinois and City of Champaign meters.)  The first time you insert the CashKey into the parking meter, the meter displays the amount of available cash on the key for that particular entity.  Then, insert the key repeatedly until you reach the amount of time you desire on the meter.  Each insertion is $.25 in value.

When the CashKey runs low or out of funds take the key to any one of the Parking Divisions of Urbana, Champaign or University of Illinois.  You can add value to any of the accounts at any time.

CashKey, as with change, will not register more than the posted maximum time allowed on the meter but it will continue to deduct $.25 from your key each time it is inserted. 

CashKey is the equivalent of money.  Since the City of Urbana has no way of knowing the value left on a lost key or whether it is being used by someone else, the City cannot issue a refund for the unused amount on a lost key.
