City Studies Modern Roundabouts for Intersection Improvements

Following directives expressed in the City Council's goals to "evaluat[e] all city projects for sustainability and incorporat[e] energy-savings systems," the City hired Ourston Roundabout Engineering to study the feasibility of installing a modern roundabout at two intersections scheduled for improvements in the near future.

Street Closure on Florida Avenue Between Race Street and Vine Street

Florida Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Race Street to Vine Street from Monday, July 19, 2010 through Friday, July 23, 2010 to perform street repairs.  Residents living within the construction area may use Broadway Avenue to access their homes.

During construction, eastbound traffic will be directed north on Race Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, east on Pennsylvania Ave
