The City’s Contractor, Feutz will be doing storm sewer work as a part of the Boneyard Creek Improvements Project.  In order to install a new storm sewer, West Water Street between Race Street and Broadway Avenue will be closed to through traffic.

As part of the City of Urbana’s on-going sewer lining project, Walden Associated Technologies from Glen Carbon, Illinois will be performing sewer lining along Busey Avenue between Clark Street and University Avenue.  

The Urbana Champaign Sanitary District’s contractor Insituform will be doing sewer lining as part of the District’s annual sanitary interceptor maintenance program.  In order to line the sanitary sewer interceptor pipe the inside east and west bound lanes of University Avenue at its intersection with Maple Street will have to be closed.

Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will be closing US 150/45 (University Avenue) and Lincoln Avenue at the Norfolk Southern Railroad crossing starting on Monday July 9, 2012. The crossing will be closed for seven to 10 days. The Norfolk Southern Railroad will be replacing the crossing during the closure. Motorists who regularly use US-150/45 (University Ave.) and Lincoln Ave.

The City is making a storm sewer repair on Sunnycrest Drive between Anderson Street and Cottage Grove Avenue. Sunnycrest Drive will be closed to all through traffic beginning at 7:00 A.M. on Wednesday April 4, 2012 to Monday April 9, 2012 at 5:00 P.M.

The City is making sanitary sewer repairs on Johnson Avenue between California Avenue and Illinois Street. Johnson will be closed to all through traffic beginning at 7:00 A.M. on Wednesday February 15, 2012 to Monday February 20, 2012 at 8:00 A.M. weather permitting.
