UPD Salary Information

Wages effective July 1, 2011 through and including June 30, 2012:

Police Officer base salary(w/o Associate’s degree or equivalent credits): $54,797. 

Police Officer base salary (with Associate’s degree or equivalent credits, or without an Associate's degree after 5 years on the force): $56,395.  

Police officers also receive longevity pay in addition to their base pay according to their years of service.

*Probationary officers’ salaries are $1,200 less than officers’ base salaries.

The information above is based on the current version of the collective bargaining contract between the City of Urbana and Urbana Lodge #70 of the Fraternal Order of Police. Specific details are subject to change based on future collective bargaining agreements.
