HOME Community Development Housing Organization
A Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) is a nonprofit, community-based organization that develops affordable housing for the community it serves. CHDOs may use HOME funds for all eligible HOME activities. 15 percent of HOME funds are set-aside for CHDO activities. A CHDO must act as the owner, developer, or sponsor of a project that is an eligible set-aside activity. Eligible activities include: the acquisition and/or rehabilitation of rental housing; new construction of rental housing; acquisition and/or rehabilitation of homebuyer properties; new construction of homebuyer properties; and direct financial assistance to purchasers of HOME-assisted housing that has been developed with HOME funds by the CHDO.

Whether you've ever written before or have a long history of creative writing, this workshop will offer a chance to flex your poetic muscle!

Beginning at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, August 12, 2020), the southbound lanes of Vine Street, south of Washington Street, will be closed while Arbor crews remove a tree hazard. Southbound traffic will be rerouted west to Race Street. Work is anticipated to be completed by noon.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers should pay close attention the changing conditions and signs in the work zone, obey posted speed limits, refrain from the use of mobile devices, follow direction from flaggers in the area and be alert for workers and equipment in and around the work zone.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation of the public while this work is being completed.

Weather permitting; North Busey Avenue will be closed to thru traffic between West University Avenue and Clark Street from 7:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2020. Open Road Paving will be working on a storm sewer connection, as part of the University Avenue Construction Project.
Access will be maintained to all properties along North Busey Avenue between West University Avenue and Clark Street during the project though no thru traffic will be allowed.

Sealed bids will be received at the Urbana Public Works Department for Solicitation #2021-02 HVAC and Plumbing Services for City of Urbana Facilities.
Time and material HVAC and plumbing repair services are needed by municipal facilities under the jurisdiction of the City of Urbana, Illinois. This contract does not include HVAC and plumbing work in new construction. The City of Urbana does not guarantee a minimum value of this contract.
The Vendor will provide time and material general on-call and emergency service for repair, maintenance and minor alterations, to the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and plumbing systems at City of Urbana, Illinois facilities. The Vendor must have extensive experience in commercial service.

The City of Urbana relies on an IBM Power7 720 server for critical systems. The City is actively replacing those systems running on the Power7, but will not complete that process before the expected end-of-life for our model (server 8202, model E4B). The City’s current IBM ServiceElite Entitlement Verification expires September 30, 2020.
The City would like to purchase extended software and hardware maintenance entitlement on our existing Power 7 machines for at least one year (to September 30, 2021), and desires an agreement for two years (to September 30, 2022). By September 2022, the City hopes to have transitioned away from all systems running on the Power7.
The City is asking Respondents to provide pricing for hardware maintenance, software maintenance, or both. The City may award the Contract to a single Successful Respondent, or may award Contracts for hardware and software maintenance separately with two Respondents.
