CITY OF URBANA ANNOUNCES MAYORAL APPOINTMENTS

The City of Urbana Mayor, Diane Wolfe Marlin, is pleased to announce the following Mayoral Appointments for both the Fire and Police Departments at the City of Urbana:

1. Deputy Fire Chief – Steven Doggett (term ending June 30, 2025)
2. Deputy Fire Chief – Tal Prendergast (term ending June 30, 2025)
3. Deputy Chief of Police – Rich Surles (term ending June 30, 2025)
4. Deputy Chief of Police – David Smysor (term ending June 30, 2025)

Mayor Marlin also appointed the following City of Urbana Commissioners:

5. Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Commission – Carmen Franks (term ending June 30, 2027)
6. Tree Commission – Elise Doody-Jones (term ending June 30, 2027)
7. Sustainability Advisory Commission Youth Seat – Gabriel Doussard (term ending April 24, 2025)

The previous were all approved by the Urbana City Council in a vote during the regular meeting, September 30, 2024.
