Household Hazardous Waste Registration Now Open

The annual household hazardous waste collection event will occur on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in Champaign.  Registration is required to attend the event.  Please register here.

Acceptable items:

Oil-based paints, pain thinners, varnish, stains, herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, old gasoline & kerosene, cleaning products, mercury, household batteries, used motor oil, drain celaners, acids, corrosives, lawn chemicals, solvents, antifreeze, pool chemicals, hobby chemicals, aerosol paints & pesticides, fluorescent tube lights and compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs).

*Latex (water-based) paint is not accepted!

*Only household waste is accepted – no agricultural, business, commercial or industrial waste
