RFP 2223-34: Sewer Manhole Inspections and GIS Updates
The City of Urbana is seeking assistance from a qualified company to perform data acquisition of critical information related to its sanitary sewer collection system and storm sewer conveyance system to enhance the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS). The efforts will generally include performing GPS surveying, subsurface structure/pipe invert depth measurements, visual conditional assessments of various subsurface structures related to these systems, and coordinating with the City and the Champaign County GIS Consortium to effectively integrate new information into our existing GIS.
Sealed proposals titled “Sewer Manhole Inspections and GIS Updates – Company Name” will be accepted until May 11th, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. CDT by the City of Urbana at the Public Works Department, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until the date/time listed above.
Responses will be reviewed by the City evaluation team for the purpose of identifying and recommending the company offering the highest qualifications, experience, approach, and cost effectiveness with this type of project. The City will negotiate final terms of a formal contract with the company that offers the best overall solution. The City of Urbana reserves the right to request clarifications and/or interviews of companies as well as reject any and all submittals received. The award of a contract will be made by the Director of Public Works and the decision will be final. A mandatory pre-submittal meeting will be held April 25th, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. CDT at Urbana City Hall located at 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, IL 61801.
