2018 Surface Seal Street Maintenance Project - Pilot
The City of Urbana has contracted with Denler, Inc. to conduct a pilot project using Biorestor Asphalt Rejuvenator to perform street maintenance on North Lincoln Avenue in the City of Urbana as shown on the attached map.
This work is scheduled to start 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, and end 11:59 pm on Friday, August 17, 2018, weather permitting.
Traffic will be maintained at all times; however, periodic lane closures and driveway closures for 45 to 60 minutes can be expected the day of the work.
The Contractor will spray material onto the roadway. After it dries the closed lanes will be re-opened. Please travel slowly through the sealed areas, as the material can be slippery and get onto vehicles. If the sealant does splash onto vehicles, it can be removed by immediately washing the vehicle with soap and water or by using a bug and tar remover.
The project award amount of $18,487.15 is funded with Local Gas Tax funds. This cost-effective maintenance treatment is being applied to extend the service life of newly improved asphalt pavements.
