Summer Movie Nights
The Urbana Arts and Culture Program and The Urbana Free Library in partnership with Kanopy present Urbanalove Summer Movie Nights, indoor and outdoor movie screenings throughout the summer in conjunction with Urbanalove!
This month, we're delighted to feature, Hearts Beat Loud--not only a tribute to the joy that music can bring, but it is also a celebration of the bond between a daughter and her father. Popcorn and popsicals will be available for purchase. The film will screen at sundown (estimated 8:30pm). Free and open to the public.
Movie synopsis: "You gotta be brave before you can be good." In the hip Brooklyn neighborhood of Red Hook, single dad and record store owner Frank is preparing to send his hard-working daughter Sam off to college while being forced to close his vintage shop. Hoping to stay connected through their shared musical passions, Frank urges Sam to turn their weekly jam sessions into a father-daughter live act. After their first song becomes an internet breakout, the two embark on a journey of love, growing up and musical discovery. Rating: PG-13 View the trailer here.
