Community Violence Response Efforts
The Community Coalition Community Violence Response Team invites you to a space where you will be provided information about resources, safety, and available support.
We want to hear from you! Upcoming Neighborhood Safety Meeting Neighborhood Safety Meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on December 5 at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, located at 1108 Fairview in Urbana. These Safety Meetings are less formal and are designed to engage neighbors and community members in conversations about violence and safety and to help us understand needs and resources in targeted communities. Hospital Violence Response Efforts
The CU Neighborhood Champions will begin to respond to survivors of gun violence at Carle Foundation Hospital during the weekend of December 13, 2019. If you or someone you know would like to be a part of that response effort, please email Karen Simms at cuneighborhoodchampions@gmail.com.
