Springfield Avenue Closure BETWEEN Wright Street and Mathews Avenue
Date: July 22, 2021 - 7:00am to August 20, 2021 - 5:00pm
Springfield Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Wright Street and Mathews Avenue starting at 7:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021 until 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2021 for steam tunnel work done by the University of Illinois Facilities & Services.
No through traffic will be permitted on Springfield Avenue between Wright Street and Mathews Avenue during the project. There will be a marked detour route for eastbound traffic is Wright Street to Green Street to Mathews Avenue. The marked detour route for westbound traffic is Mathews Avenue to University Avenue to Wright Street.
