NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the City Council of the City of Urbana, Illinois will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 8, 2016, in the Council Chambers of the Urbana City Building, 400 South Vine Street, Urbana, for the purpose of receiving public comment regarding the following Items:

Ordinance No. 2016-08-069: An Ordinance Amending Urbana City Code Chapter Three, Section 3-43 (Increasing number of Class G2 liquor licenses for Blackhawk Restaurant Group, LLC d/b/a Emma’s Eatery, 114 N. Vine Street, Suite O)
Ordinance No. 2016-08-070: An Ordinance Amending Urbana City Code Chapter Three, Section 3-43 (Increasing number of Class G2 liquor licenses for Mala LLC, d/b/a Lindy Lu’s Place, 202 W. University Ave.)
Ordinance No. 2016-08-071: An Ordinance Amending Urbana City Code Chapter Three, Section 3-43 (Increasing number of Class G2 liquor licenses for Northgate Gaming, Inc., d/b/a Lucky Luke’s, 1504 N.

Oregon Street Closure at Intersection with Lynn Street

Weather permitting, Oregon Street will be closed at its intersection with Lynn Street from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 for replacement of a water main.

Access will be maintained to properties on Oregon Street and Lynn Street but no through traffic will be permitted on Oregon Street at its intersection with Lynn Street. There will be no detour route for this closure.

Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas. Thank you for your cooperation while this improvement is in progress.

California Street Closure at Intersection with Lynn Street

Weather permitting, California Street will be closed at its intersection with Lynn Street from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 for replacement of a water main.

Access will be maintained to properties on East California and South Lynn Street but no through traffic permitted on East California Street at its intersection with Lynn Street. There will be no detour route for this closure.

Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas. We appreciate your patience while this improvement is in progress.

Race Street Lane Closure

Weather permitting, lane closures on Race Street from Meadow Drive to Florida Avenue can be expected starting at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 until 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2016.

All roadways will maintain two way traffic and local access to residences at all times. Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas.

Florida Avenue Lane Closure

Freedom Celebration Parade Street Closures

Florida Avenue from the west City limits (Wright Street extended) to Busey Avenue
Lincoln Avenue from Florida Avenue to Green Street
Illinois Street from Lincoln Avenue to Goodwin Avenue
Gregory Street from Illinois Street to Oregon Street

U-Cycle - Independence Day Route Schedule

Due to the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 4, U-Cycle collections will be delayed by one day during the week of July 4. Monday U-Cycle collections will be completed on Tuesday, Tuesday's collections on Wednesday, etc. Please ensure that recycling is set curbside by 7 a.m.

Broadway Avenue Lane Closure

Weather permitting, the northbound travel lane, bike lane, and east sidewalk on Broadway Avenue will be closed between Main Street and Water Street each day from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. starting on Thursday, June 16, 2016 through Wednesday, June 29, 2016 for roofing work.

Broadway Avenue will remain open to traffic at all times during the construction work. Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas.

Anderson Street Closure

Weather permitting, Anderson Street will be closed from Michigan Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue, effective immediately Tuesday June 21, 2016 through Friday July 1, 2016 and ending at 3:00 p.m. for concrete street repair.
