Urbana High School Presents: Little Shop of Horrors

Date: March 9, 2011 - 7:00pm to March 13, 2011 - 2:30pm

Creepy chills and comic spills abound in the 2011 Urbana High School spring musical, Little Shop of Horrors.

A dazzling arrangement of nerdy florists, sadistic dentists and carnivorous plants, Little Shop of Horrors runs Wednesday through Saturday March 9-12 at 7:00pm and Sunday March 13 at 2:30pm at the Urbana High School Cobb Auditorium.

A down-and out skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon "Audrey II" grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite, finally revealing itself to be an alien creature poised for global domination!

Directed by UHS Director of Theatre Tim Broeker with technical direction by veteran Greg Chew, the cast and crew feature well over 50 very talented and hard working UHS students who have put their heart and soul into the past two months making an entertaining and fun performance for everyone.

Little Shop of Horrors is a fun, lighthearted comedy and love story that you will not want to miss full of surprises and fun twists.

Tickets are $6 and will be available at the door thirty minutes prior to each performance.
