The Imagine Urbana Plan is Ready for Your Review

After hearing from you through our ImagineUrbana.com website, SMS survey, neighborhood and community events, and ward activities, a draft of our new comprehensive plan, Imagine Urbana, is ready for YOU to tell us if we got it right.

To review the online Imagine Urbana draft and make comments go here.

Copies of the Imagine Urbana draft are also available at The Urbana Free Library and the City of Urbana Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 200 South Vine Street, or by emailing ImagineUrbana@urbanaillinois.us for a PDF copy.

Senior Director of Integrated Strategy Development, Andrea Ruedi, encourages residents to provide their feedback on the draft Plan, “There will be ongoing opportunities this fall for the public to provide their input. In addition to providing public input at the Urbana Plan Commission Study Session at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, community members are invited to drop in at any of the six informal neighborhood meetings in September to find out what’s in the plan, take a look at a map showing how different parts of the City should be developed over time, and tell City staff and officials what you think.”

Dates and times of the Imagine Urbana information sessions are below:

Thursday, September 12, from 6 to 7 p.m., at 25 O’ Clock Brewing Co., 208 West Griggs Street

Friday, September 13, from 7-8 p.m. at the Vineyard Church, 1500 North Lincoln Avenue

Wednesday, September 18 from 12 to 1 p.m. at ILEAS Training Center, 1701 East Main Street (light lunch as available)

Thursday, September 19, from 6 to 7 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2200 Philo Road
