Urbana Curbside and Multifamily U-Cycle Services Suspended

Curbside and multifamily U-Cycle collection services will not occur the week of August 12, 2024, due to contractual obligations not met by the U-Cycle contractor.  All U-Cycle collection services will be delayed until further notice.

Updates on U-Cycle service will be posted as they become available on the City of Urbana’s website, urbanaillinois.us, through the City’s social media accounts, and via phone at 217-384-2302.

In the meantime, residents may bring recycling to a recycling center drop-off location operated by Illini Recycling at 420 Paul Avenue, in Champaign.  Recycling must be separated into specific material types at the facility.  The materials accepted at the recycling center are: cardboard, magazines, newspaper, office paper, #1-7 plastic food and beverage bottles/containers, tin food containers, aluminum cans, and aluminum foil and pans.  No glass or plastic bags are accepted.  The recycling center is open 24-hours.  Residents may also place recyclables in their garbage until service is resumed.
