Sealed BIDS for the construction of the Lincoln & Springfield Resurfacing (City Section 17-00592-00-RS) including hot-mix asphalt surface removal and replacement, pavement patching, curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk repair, and other miscellaneous work will be received by the City of Urbana at the office of the City Engineer, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Thursday, June 10, 2020 and publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. at said office.  In the event COVID restrictions are still in place, the bids will be read by Public Works staff and broadcast over Urbana Public Television.

Request for Proposals: Grass and Weeds Nuisance Abatement

 

EXTENDED SUBMISSION DUE DATE: 06-01-2021 TIME: 8:00 am CENTRAL TIME

 

The City of Urbana, Community Development Services Department, is looking for a contractor to do case by case mowing of properties that have failed to comply with City ordinances for grass height and weed control.  This contract will be valid for two (2) years, with possible extension for third year. If your company would be interested in doing this you must submit price estimates and return them before 8:00 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

 

 

The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive irregularities or technicalities.

CITY TELEPHONE SYSTEM UPGRADES

 

City of Urbana offices will not be available by telephone on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. due to system upgrades. 

 

While the telephone system is being upgraded current telephone numbers will be re-directed from the old system to the new one.

 

Be advised that during this time window, incoming telephone calls to the City of Urbana will receive an error message that “The call cannot be completed at this time.”  

 

As always, if there is an emergency please dial 911.
