With taxes due in the upcoming days, you should be on high alert for fraudulent calls claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service. These scammers insist that you owe money to the government. Then, they threaten you with loss of your driver’s license, arrest, or even deportation. Once they’ve caught you off guard, they’ll insist that you send the money using a prepaid card or wire transfer.
Don’t do it! Remember:
The City of Urbana is pleased to report that the home and property at 917 N. Linview Ave., Urbana, was sold this morning at auction. The property was offered for sale to the highest responsible and qualified bidder, which was E.J.Brown, for a bid of $36,000. Edward Hannigan of Royal, Illinois was the auctioneer.
If there was one extreme weather preparedness action you want your loved ones to take, what would it be? For many, that one action is to know ahead of time where their safe place is located.
