At 12:00 pm, Monday, March 2, 2015, the Urbana Public Works Director will declared the sidewalk snow and ice removal requirement in effect for the Downtown, University and South Philo Road snow removal districts.

Due to the winter storm, snow combined with ice has accumulated to two inches or more on sidewalks. Public sidewalks within these districts, which are not in compliance, could be cleared by the City at the expense of the adjacent property owner, with additional fines and administrative fees applied.
