MAIN STREET AND LINCOLN AVENUE WEST SIDE OF INTERSECTION CLOSURE

MAIN STREET AND LINCOLN AVENUE WEST SIDE OF INTERSECTION CLOSURE (LINCOLN & SPRINGFIELD RESURFACING PROJECT)

Beginning Thursday November 18, 2021, the west side of the intersection of Main Street and Lincoln Avenue will be closed for sewer work.  This sewer work is expected to last through Friday November 19, 2021.

Lincoln Avenue will remain open in both directions, but turns onto Main Street will not be allowed for the westbound direction.  The east side of Main and Lincoln will not be affected. Properties on Main Street will be accessible from Main Street but vehicles will need to detour around and come from the west.  

All roadway users are encouraged to travel carefully through this and all construction areas.  Please do not drive through areas closed off to through traffic.  Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this project.

Future closures will be announced as they arise during all construction phases.

The Successful Respondent shall be ready, willing, and able to work with a Library staff team to develop and deploy a new Library website using an open source content management platform and coordinate a contract for a provider to manage ongoing hosting and regular updates.

WINDSOR ROAD PATCHING PROJECT CONSTRUCTION START AND LANE CLOSURES

The Windsor Road Patching Project will begin on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.  The project is currently slated to run through November 30, 2021.  All construction activities will be weather permitting through the course of the project.

There will be periodic lane closures between Race Street and Philo Road on both the westbound and eastbound sides of Windsor Road.  There will always be at least one lane of traffic open in each direction throughout the project’s duration.

CHURCH STREET CLOSURE BETWEEN NORTH ORCHARD STREET AND NORTH COLER AVENUE

Church Street will be closed to through traffic between North Orchard Street and North Coler Avenue starting at 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 for work at Carle Hospital MRI done by Amaro’s Rigging and Moving Corporation.  Church Street will be open up to the Digestive Health Entrance.      

No through traffic will be permitted on Church Street between North Orchard Street and North Coler Avenue during the project. There will be a marked detour route to North Orchard Street to Fairview Avenue to North Coler Avenue.

The City’s EAP program is intended to help employees and their household members deal with personal problems such as alcoholism/substance abuse, family difficulties, stress, monetary/financial problems, legal troubles, family violence and other personal difficulties that might adversely impact their work performance, health, and well-being.

The police department is seeking a vendor to outfit each newly purchased Ford Explorer Police Interceptor or other models for patrol usage based on the department’s specifications and design.  As part of the proposal, the chosen vendor will purchase all the equipment to be installed as well as install the equipment at their facility per manufacturer’s specifications.  The vendor will have the responsibility of following the manufacturer’s specifications and following all state codes as it pertains to installing police/emergency specific equipment into the vehicles.  The vendor will also need to provide a warranty specific to the installation and equipment installed.  The manufacturer’s warranty is sufficient on all equipment.

The City of Urbana Police Department is seeking bids for a vendor to submit no less than (3) graphic designs to be installed on the departments new squad car fleet.  Once the design is chosen. The vendor will be responsible for installing the graphics on the squad cars.  The vendor will also be responsible for maintaining the ability to reproduce the graphics and installing them throughout the life cycle of the fleet, which is typically three to five years after the initial installation. Vendors must submit a complete bid to the Urbana Police Department by 9:00 a.m. October 7, 2021.
