Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. All bidders are required to provide current financial and experience statements or other prequalification documents to show satisfactory evidence of the bidder's compitency to perform the proposed work at the time the Contract Documents and Specifications are requested. The bidder must submit evidence of current prequalification with the Illinois Department of Transportation.

CLOSED - Request for Proposals: Server Virtualization Consulting and Implementation (Solicitation #2122-08)

The City has “bare metal” Microsoft Windows servers (“bare metal” server = a physical server that is dedicated to a single tenant.) The City wants to virtualize these servers, create a process for snapshot backups, and implement (and test) a strategy for disaster recovery. The City wants to make this change strategically, with a minimal amount of additional hardware & software purchases. The City is not seeking a Managed Services Provider or a long-term commitment. This project is seen as a one-time surge of effort to quickly move to a virtualized server infrastructure.

The Server Virtualization project will consist of two phases.

The City of Urbana, Community Development Services Department, is seeking bids for removal of refuse and debris from properties that have failed to comply with City nuisance ordinances. 

 

If your company is interested in performing these services, you must submit a completed pricing worksheet and supplemental information by 2:00 p.m. central time on Friday September 10, 2021 to the City of Urbana Community Development Department, 400 S Vine St., Urbana, IL 61801. 

  

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities or technicalities.
