Closed - Request for Bid: Force Main Cleaning

The City of Urbana will receive proposals to provide for 2,404 feet of 2-inch diameter force main cleaning.

The proposal document may be obtained from the Urbana Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, IL, 61802.

Proposals will be received until 2:30 p.m. on July 6, 2018, at which time the proposals will be opened and the names and bids of the Proposers read publicly.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive irregularities or technicalities.

West Oregon Street Closure

West Oregon Street will be closed to thru traffic between South Mathews Avenue and South Goodwin Avenue from 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 through 4:00 p.m. Friday June 29, 2018 for a sanitary and storm sewer improvements done by A & R Services for the University of Illinois and Cross Construction for the City of Urbana.

No thru traffic will be permitted on West Oregon Street between South Mathews Avenue and South Goodwin Avenue during the project. Access will be maintained to all properties along West Oregon Street.

Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this project.

Closed - Request for Letters of Interest: Professional Services for 2018-2020 Supplemental Engineering

The City is seeking Letters of Interest to provide the City of Urbana with professional services to supplement City engineering staff with an engineering services consultant.

Professional services will include but not be limited to surveying, design engineering and construction observation of publicly maintained infrastructure such as but not limited to roadways, bridges and parking lots on an as-needed basis.

The Request for Letters of Interest may be obtained from the Urbana Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, IL. 61802.

All Letters of Interest must be received no later than 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2018.

Lynn Street Closure

On Saturday, June 9, 2018, Lynn Street between Green Street and Main Street will be closed to through traffic from 11:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. for the Historic East Urbana Neighborhood Association Picnic in Victory Park.

Closed - Request for Letters of Interest - Professional Services for 2018-2021 Pavement Management

The City is seeking Letters of Interest to provide the City of Urbana with professional services related to pavement management.

Professional services will include but not be limited to:

  • establishing a pavement management system,
  • performing annual pavement condition inspections utilizing high-resolution video processing equipment,
  • providing Pavement Condition Index (PCI) scores for City streets,
  • incorporating this information into the City’s Graphic Information System (GIS) system,
  • providing necessary information to comply with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements on an annual basis.

The Request for Letters of Interest may be obtained from the Urbana Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, IL. 61802.

All Letters of Interest must be received no later than 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2018.
