The City of Urbana has been working with BerryDunn, a national consulting firm, for the past year to evaluate itspublic safety service delivery model.
The Urbana Fire Department (UFD) is delighted to announce the retirement of Deputy Chief Kyle Hensch.
DC Hensch is a 34-year veteran of the fire service, with 25 of those years serving the City of Urbana. During his career, Kyle earned multiple fire service certifications and was promoted through every ranked position before being appointed as Deputy Fire Chief by Mayor Diane Wolfe Marlin on May 7, 2022. DC Hensch officially retires Friday, March 8, 2024. The Urbana Fire Department sincerely appreciates Deputy Chief Kyle Hensch for the dedicated years of service he provided to the department and this community!
