UHS Theatre Program Hosts Zumbathon Fundraiser

The Urbana High School (UHS) theatre program is hosting a Zumbathon event Saturday, December 8, 2012. The action will take place at the Urbana Middle School Cafetorium from 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

The event is to raise money for the theatre program to take their production of CHICAGO the Musical to the Illinois High School Theatre Festival at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in January, 2013, where the UHS group will perform in front of high school students and educators from across the state of Illinois.

Zumbathon is a fundraising event where participants purchase a ticket and engage in an hour and 15 minute Zumba class with a certified Zumba instructor. Zumba is a modern day form of aerobic dance that combines Latin infused music with dance to create a fun, energetic and high spirited party atmosphere.

Tickets for the event are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. You can purchase tickets in advance online at http://uhsdramazumba2.eventbrite.com. There will also be several raffle prizes up for grabs. 100% of the profits from the event will go to the UHS theatre program.
